You have heard of toll bridges, toll roads, toll speedways — but when is the last time you heard of a major American city playing with the idea of charging visitors to their city tolls to use their streets?
Seattle, Washington is reportedly thinking about it!
They say it is part of a plan to cut greenhouse gasses in their city.
According to reports —– If Seattle does this they will be the first in the country to do it.
I cannot help but wonder what such a plan would do for Seattle’s downtown shopping?
Would it mean the elimination of parking garages that charge for parking and parking meters that do the same?
Can you imagine paying a toll to enter the city streets and then another charge to park?
My opinion? — My opinion on this one is, “I’m filing this in my crazy file.”
