My doctor went ballistic on me today and demanded that I go on a no white foods diet at once — and I got concerned about desserts because I have always been a sugar freak and now I am not allowed to eat anything with refined white sugar in it.
So now I understand that moderate amounts of honey and maple syrup are my go-to sugar alternatives. I do not know how true that is but in my book it is better than nothing and so I am going to try it.
I am also a lover of ice cream so now I am supposed to be looking at these substitutes for my beloved ice cream:
I am beginning to wonder if there is any justice left in this world at all.
If white refined sugar is that all-fired bad for people like some doctors are saying I am wondering why the government lets it be sold so freely on the markets, and if sugar is as addictive as some other people claim, I am wondering why it has not been classed as a drug available only be prescription?
